Can I claim the money myself?
Yes. You can search for and claim property directly through California’s official ClaimIt website at no cost. Our planned service is optional help with the research and paperwork.
Are you part of the government?
No. Claimwell Recovery is a proposed independent recovery service, not a government agency. The state makes all claim-approval decisions.
Does a matching name mean the funds are mine?
No. Names can be shared by different people or companies. Ownership must be established with supporting evidence before a claim can be approved.
When would a fee be due?
The proposed fee is up to 10%, set out in a written agreement. No fee is due before claim approval and payment of recovered property to the owner. There is no advance recovery fee.
Are you accepting clients yet?
Not yet. Investigator registration and business setup are still being completed. We are not currently accepting client documents, payments or service agreements. You can use the state’s free search today.
